Dorchester activist, Isaura Mendes,  seen here outside St Patrick’s church in Roxbury,  Mass where she places banners dedicated to Peace and Forgiveness each Sunday.  Mendes has been taking a message of forgiveness to incarcerated men. “When I forgave my son, Bobby Mendes’s, murderer in court I was approached by groups throughout the state to speak to incarnated men. ” I want the men to know they are not forgotten. That living with anger, rage and retaliation will eat them up inside. I want to share the freedom that comes from forgiveness. I am sad for the loss of my two sons, but I am free.
